Arlette House, 143 Wardour Street London

A classic photo of Queen at the Arlette House building in London comes from June 1974. At the time, the band was recording another album at Trident Studios located at 17 St Anne’s Court, around the corner from the Marquee Club at 90 Wardour Street.

Session for the Japanese magazine Music Life. Brian May was sick at the time, and that’s why hes missing in the pictures.

The building owners have plans to demolish it and build a new one with apartments. The building dates from the late nineteenth century.

The author of Queen’s photos on the street is photographer Watal Asanuma.
